Goa is a state located on the southwestern coast of India surrounded by the Konkan region. The Western Ghats segregate Goa from the Deccan Highlands. Goa comprises many national parks such as most-famous Salim Ali Bird Sanctuary, Bondla Wildlife Sanctuary, Molem Wildlife Sanctuary, Mhadei Wildlife Sanctuary, and Netravali Wildlife Sanctuary. Goa has acquired 6th spot in the Top 10 nightlife cities in the world appeared in National Geographic Travel. Goa is widely acclaimed for its water sports too. Beaches like Baga and Calangute offer jet-skiing, parasailing, banana boat rides, water scooter rides, and so on. Goa is often portrayed as a state perfectly fused with Eastern and Western influences. The World Heritage Sites in Goa include Bom Jesus Basilica and Churches and Convents of Old Goa.
