I recently had the pleasure of staying at Hotel Shalimar residency during my vacation in the Ernakulam , and overall, it was a delightful experience. From the moment I arrived, I was greeted warmly by the attentive staff, who provided efficient check-in service and helpful information about the resort amenities. The room I stayed in was spacious, clean, and beautifully decorated, offering breathtaking views of the ocean. The housekeeping team did an excellent job of maintaining cleanliness throughout my stay, and any requests I had were promptly attended to.

The hotel is located in one of the most accessible points in Kochi. Ernakulam South Railway Station, Metro Station, Autorickshaw stand and Bus Stop are nearby. The room was spacious and clean. The staff were polite and professional. Mr. Abdul Rasheed,Managing Director of Shalimar Residency was kind enough to approve a partial refund request from goibibo,as I need to cut short my stay there due to official reasons. The hotel rates are economical and it is a safe place if you are planning a family trip to Kochi.

This is near Ernakulam Junction Railway station. Peaceful place. There are plenty of rooms but the staff is a little unprofessional. We booked for 2 days. The first day we got an AC room where the AC was not working, the 2nd day the AC turned off without our control. No restaurant available in this stay.

The hotel is okay, not that great. Rooms are shady and have no good amenities. Building and rooms are old. Hence, there will be signs of that. Rooms had a small caterpillar when i checked in. Bedsheets are getting changed, but you can definitely see stains from previous use. Along with that beds covers are bot properly cleaned, saw stains, hair from previous use. Since i got a good deal, I have stayed there. I personally do not feel the room rent should not be more than 1000Rs

Went in December. Booked this hotel due to its close proximity with the ERS railway station. Pros: + within 350m to ERS railway station + AC available + Bathroom was clean Cons: - untidy room. floor had some dust. - untidy linen and bedsheet. blanket had stains on it. while laying on bedsheet felt itchiness on skin in contact with the bedsheet. - very small room - windows were not clean - AC was not working had to call reception to make it work. Can do better :)
